As heise.de reported today, a new bug in Internet Explorer has been discovered by security experts. The security hole is considered highly critical with a risk of damage of unknown dimension. According to the alert published by German IT publisher heise.de, point the browser to a url may already allow execution of malicious code.

Microsoft is currently analysing the problem and may release an immediate security patch outside its monthly update cycle. Currently no websites making use of the flaw have been reported.

Due to the high risk potential users of Internet Explorer should carefully consider viewing unknown websites or switch to the latest alternative web browsers like Mozilla or Opera until a security patch is released.
