As part of Microsoft's monthly security update campaign the Redmond-based company yesterday (Tuesday, Aug, 9th) released six patches to fix flaws and security holes in its desktop and server operating systems. Three of the six released updates are rated critical, one important, and two moderate. Windows affected software includes Windows Server, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. The patches solve security related problems with Internet Explorer, internal features like print spooling routines and plug and play configuration, and telephony subsystems.
