Recent alerts have shown that Microsofts built-in Mail client Outlook Express make it possible for attackers to inlcude faked links in HTML-Emails while the status bar of Outlook Express and Internet Explorer verify the linked website as trustworthy. This security leak makes it possible to send phishing mails with built-in forms asking for verification of personal and/or financial information. It is recommended to not to follow links in HTML-Emails in Outlook Express or to change to a different Mail-Client alltogether.
