German IT publisher heise.de reports of recent updates for Adobe Reader and the Opera webbrowser.

Adobe Inc. has released updates for Windows-based versions of Adobe Reader, the widely used free reader software and browser-plugin for pdf documents, in Version 7.X which fixes security flaws. Mac Users have to wait a bit longer since Adobe developers are still working on fixes for the Apple version

Also, Opera Software, the Norwegian browser vendor, has released version 8.01 of its Opera web-suite for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS. The new release includes patches to a number of security holes of earlier versions.
