According to heise Security a new version of the Email List Software LISTSERV by NGSSoftware patches several security holes.

LISTSERV is a widely used program that facilitates the management of Email newsletters and discussion groups. Details about the holes will not be revealed until August. It is, however, already known, that malware uses LISTSERV to launch its own program and thus causes the server to crash.

heise Security reported that LISTSERV 14.3, 1.8e and 1.8d under Windows, Unix and OpenVMS are affected.
