Update for Media Player patches security hole

heise Security reports, that a new update is available for Windows Media Player 9 and 10. At the beginning of this year Panda Software, developer of anti-virus software, reported about trojans (Trj/WmvDownloader), that install malware on the computer. The pretend to want to load a license, but direct the browser to a page, that tries to install spyware, dialers, viruses and others on the computer.

"The update, however, does not keep the user from neglecting this warning and thus loading the site that installs different malware anyhow", sais heise Security.
