The German Publisher heise.de refers to a warning of new phishing activities published by the antivirus specialist Panda. According to Panda, illegal activities have increasingly been recorded trying to collect credit card information of users buying flight tickets online.

Attackers use faked websites resembling real online flight booking services and promote them using search engines. The fraud starts when users look for cheap tickets on search engines like Google and are then led to the faked website where they are asked to provide personal and credit card information to buy tickets. When submitting the information the user is then informed that due to internal problems the transaction could not be committed and is provided information how to pay by money order.

At that point , however, the informaiton already is in the hands of the deceivers and can be used by them for payments.

Identified scams include :

www. BusySky.net , www. CheapClouds.com , www. CrazyTickets.net , www. SubmitPrice.net

More informaiton: Panda, heise , U.S Department of State
