Kilgray releases Version 2 of MemoQ, an Integrated Localization Environment Kilgray Translation Technologies, an independent company dedicated to the development of translation productivity tools has announced version 2.0 of the Integrated Localization Environment (ILE) MemoQ. Version 2.0 is a major update that delivers dramatic increase in user productivity, the company's press release informs. The main theme for the new version is networking, featuring a brand new resource server. This server does not only store translation memories and term bases, it also offers the possibility of creating server projects that allow the easy distribution of work among several translators and ensures productivity at an early stage of the learning curve. Improvements on the client side include support for XML and Adobe FrameMaker MIF file formats, improvements to all other supported file formats, support for the Segmentation Rule eXchange (SRX) standard, auto-propagation of translated segments, better navigation and over a hundred more minor enhancements. MemoQ has a strong focus on easy-to-use and productive user interfaces and collaboration. Upgrades are always free of charge, users of MemoQ 1.0 receive MemoQ 2.0 for free. Prices did not change either, however, all commercial editions are now able to access remote resources.
