Already in September German CAT-software developer across Systems presented version 3.5 of its Corporate Translation Management (CTM) solution across.

across Systems, a spin-off of Nero AG, the creator of the famous CD-burning suite Nero, last year launched the first public version and offered well over 1000 licenses for free to freelance translators who were registered with the German association of translators BDU.

Meanwhile, across v3.5 Standalone also is offered free of charge to professional freelancers and members of other organisations, including the ATA.

across v3.5 features Translation Memory functions, a terminology system, an editor, modules for QA and project and workflow management. Amongst the innovations of version 3.5 is crossTransform, which allows to edit Adobe Indesign and Quark xPress files using across.

Meanwhile, patches for said version have been released.
