POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will entail coordinating medium to large size translation and interpretation projects, including extensive scheduling and management of US-based and overseas freelance contractors, providing support to operations, as well as managing contracts, fees, quality, and timeliness of deliverables. Previous experience with translation industry preferable, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage freelance contractors, oversee resource selection/allocation, accounting, testing, quality assurance, and timely delivery of projects

· Transmit electronic files in a variety of formats via the Internet to and from freelance translators and clients

· Select and schedule interpreters and equipment for various conferences, trade shows and meetings including on-site management for the most important events

· Negotiate contracts with clients, provide quotes and prepare proposals, provide client support throughout the duration of the project

· Research and help to develop existing database of freelance contractors

· Improve overall operations process and work flow

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor?s degree or higher qualification

· Knowledge of all major Windows-based programs (MS Office, ACT, etc.)

· Knowledge of the TRADOS suite

· Knowledge of graphics programs for PC/MAC a plus

· Knowledge of HTML, XML encoding and scripts a plus

· Fluency in a foreign language preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Minimum 2 years experience in project/product management
