According to Lionbridge Technologies Inc.'s latest earning call, the company's net income for the second quarter jumped year over year from US$ 1.38 million to US$ 3 million. The company attributes this to its acquisition of Bowne Global Solutions last year, the Boston Business Journal writes. Lionbridge, which provides translation services for companies selling software and other products overseas, said revenue more than doubled to US$ 110.5 million versus US$ 41.3 million a year ago. Lionbridge acquired translation services company Bowne Global Solutions, a division of Bowne & Co. Inc., last fall in a cash-and-stock deal worth about US$ 180 million.
