The El Paso Times informs about a seminar held at the University of Texas in El Paso (UTEP) on Saturday.  Professional interpreters and translators, and those interested in the field, can attend the 11th annual Border Area Translation and Interpretation Workshop at UTEP's Tom!s Rivera Conference Center

According to Ana Trachter, spokeswoman for the El Paso Interpreters and Translators Association, or EPITA, salaries for interpreters can start at $ 30 to $ 40 an hour and reach $ 60 to $ 100 an hour, the newspaper writes.

One of the main topics will be legal translating between the United States and Mexico. The seminar is open for up to 70 people
