One Month of babelport.com

The first month is over: Babelport.com was lauched 28 days ago, on Feb, 15th, and the site team considers this first month a huge success. During these past four weeks we have registered over 70.000 pageviews and over 3700 visitors. Already over 600 members have signed up with our service and have started to make babelport.com a community of professionals.

The forums are slowly being filled and the first transhelper question has been answered. Luis R Cerna was the first member to provide an interesting article and other members have already signalled their interest in publishing informative essays as well. We are currently reviewing Luis' second article and will publish it within the next days.

We would like to thank everybody , who has made suggestions for improvements and also those who have raised discussions on such pressing issues like price dumping etc. Since many of these issues are of general interest we would like to encourage everybody to use the forums for these topics. We hope to hear more from you and will consider all suggestions in depth.

The rating system has been used by some agencies and freelancers already, which shows us that there was a strong interest in a bilateral evaluation system in the industry.

We hope that the registrations remain stable so we can announce the registration of the 1000th member soon. The 620 members who were listed this morning also include 28 translation agencies and 3 direct outsourcers. We will soon start to promote the service to more outsourcers directly and hope to have a stable number of projects available soon.
