In a press release the Brigham Young University Center for Language Studies announced yesterday that it will hold a first-of-its-kind "Translation Summit" on March, 20, 2006.

Translators, government representatives, and corporate executives from around the country will gather to discuss the increase in demand for translation services.  The University's Center for Language Studies will host the summit on the campus of its sister institution, the University of Utah, and it will be co-sponsored by the National Virtual Translation Center (NVTC) and the American Translators Association (ATA).  Interpreters will also be represented.

Subtitled "The Latest Word in Translation," the event's theme is:  Bringing together private industry, government and academia.  The Summit will be held at the Marriott University Park Hotel at 480 Wakara Way, in Salt Lake City on March 20th.
