The German association for translators and interpreters (BDÜ) informs about the European Union's project "eCoLoTrain" that aims at qualifying translators and interpreters. The British Institute of Translation and Interpretation conducts this study in four languages (English, Spanish, French and German). The questionnaire comprises 66 questions in 11 categories and addresses those involved in translator and interpreter training: university institutes, companies and other organisations. The survey is conducted within the eCoLo-Train project and is designed to gather information about the requirements and needs of instructors in the field of translation. Deadline is the end of March. Participants have a chance to win one of two prices: the free participation in a 5-day seminar "Computer and Translation - Translation-Memory-Systems and Software Localisation" at the University Saarbrücken and the free participation in one of the 2-day seminars held by the eCoLo-Train-Project. Each winner furthermore receives a free version of the TM-Software Déjà Vu by Atril S.A., Madrid. The study is available at: eCoLoTrain Sources: BDÜ, ITI |
