Ever wanted to attend a conference in lavender? Now you can.

The 13th Annual Lavender Languages & Linguistics Conference is going to be held at the

American University in Washington D.C.

The Lavender Languages and Linguistics Conference examines language use in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer life. Focussed topics include studies of pronunciation, vocabulary and meaning, conversational structures and styles, but also  non-verbal communication, and communication through photography, cinema and other visual arts, and many more. Since 1993 the Lav Lgs conferences have examined how lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgendered persons and queers use language in everyday life, and how language gets used against us by others.
