As Management-Issues.com writes, most U.S. multinational companies lack global communication strategies to communicate with their employees and business units around the world. The 2005/2006 Communication ROI Study by Watson Wyatt finds that only three out of 10 of the global firms have designated communication resources in other countries, and not even every fifth has a formal, documented global communication strategy. Over 80 percent of U.S. multinationals won't bother to customise their corporate messages for workers in other countries, the article informs, instead most companies rely on local managers to interpret and deliver messages, often lacking communication training and support. source: Management Issues |
