In a press release across systems, offspring of German software company Nero AG and vendor of the das Corporate Translation Management (CTM) software across, informs of the release of version 3.1 and extended partnering networks. During this year's tekom-conference (Technische Kommunikation - technical communication ) in November in Wiesbaden, Germany, across not only presented the latest version 3.1 but also signed further cooperation agreements with content management and software specialists. across v3.1 offers an easier and faster access, change-logs and Update-Workflows for tracking translation changes, crossSearch terminology research in a variety of formats, an extended crossAPI, which allows real-time access from different applications. In the near future, across also plans to support Quark XPress and Adobe Indesign document formats. With these new features and promises across more and more becomes a real challenger to SDL's leading products TRADOS and SDLX. across v3 was started only in summer 2005 but made a rather impressive introduction by offering free licenses for freelancing translators. Well over 1000 freelancers registered for one of the Personal Edition licenses worth 399,- Euro. With their slogan "Jedem sein across - Everybody his/her own across" across offers 4 license models for the CTM-solution: - Personal Edition 399,- Euro
