MySQL executive, Kaj Arnö, to deliver Keynote on Standards-based Platforms at Language Standards for Global Business Summit

(SAN DIEGO, CA) -- December 2, 2005 -- Open-Source database industry guru and leading executive at MySQL, Kaj Arnö, will serve as the keynote speaker at the "Language Standards for Global Business Summit," taking place on December 12-13, 2005 in Berlin, Germany.

Kaj, who has been a leader in encouraging companies to support the fight against software patents in Europe, will present "Open Source: Using a standards-based platform to create a global business", in which he will discuss what processes, standards, and business models have been key to the establishment and growth of the Open Source database industry.
