Encyclopædia Britannica now available with Babylon software

According to a press release, Israel-based Babylon Ltd., the leading provider of single-click translation and information access software, announced the launch of the Britannica Concise Encyclopædia as part of Babylon's premium content offering. The integration of this well-known reference enables users to click on any English term from any desktop application and results from the encyclopædia are shown in a small pop-up window. The English Britannica Concise Encyclopædia includes more than 28,000 entries with overviews, key dates, statistics, maps, charts and many more useful references. "Our collaboration with Britannica is the first of its kind for Babylon. Encyclopædia Britannica, well known and long admired for their large multivolume reference works, is the first general reference content that is available as premium content with the Babylon software," said Alon Carmeli, VP On-line Sales and Marketing, Babylon Ltd. Only last month Babylon launched Merriam-Webster's Collegiate(R) Dictionary and Thesaurus.
