across Systems GmbH, formerly part of Nero AG, will present its new version of the Corporate Translation Management System across at the tekom fall conference from November 9-11 in Wiesbaden, Germany.  across v3.1 underlined across' technological leadership when it comes to integrated translation solutions, the software company informs in a press release.

across v3 only started this August with a free licence deal for freelance translators who are members of the German association for interpreters and translators BDÜ. According to the company more than 1000 licences were handed out within a short period of time. The new version 3.1 will be released in December and it "once more sets standards for integrated translation solutions."

With the concept of Corporate Translation Managements (CTM) across offers an integrated solution for freelance translators, language service providers and clients. CTM includes support for translators via translation memory, a terminology system and a universal editor for different document formats. Furthermore, CTM integrates the actual translation process, administration and project management in one single system.

With the new version of the translation software developers promise an even faster and simpler lead-in to translation projects, efficient update-workflows for tracking text changes in translations, crossSearch for terminology look-up from different sources and an extended crossAPI, which now also offers real-time access from other applications to across. The extension of available file formats, which will soon include Quark XPress and Adobe Indesign, in addition to directly supported file formats.

According to press information, the market for technical documentation and their translation is worth nine billion Euro in Germany alone.

The tekom fall conference is a meeting place for translation service providers and representative of the industry.
